In Special memory, honor & Recognition of an awesome brother, Man of God and servant of the Lord!
Reginald Kyles
Deacon of Ministries
Hello, my name is Reginald Kyles (Reggie) and I am incredibly honored and privileged to serve in the capacity role as Deacon of Ministries at The Assembly Church. I serve alongside an amazing team that desires to spread and live out the mission statement of the church and the vision God has given my brother Pastor Rodney to carry out. Under the leadership of Pastor Rodney, I oversee: the Men’s Ministry – More Than Conquerors and the Lady’s Ministry - LOVE, The Music Ministry, The Helps Ministry, The Assembly to Go Outreach Ministry, The Children’s Ministry, The Prayer Team, and The Building Fund Visionary Team. I am passionate about seeing individuals and communities transformed by the power and love of Jesus.
Prior to stepping into my current position at The Assembly, I was involved in Prison Ministry through a local church I previously attended, where I would visit inmates at the Robert Presley Detention Center in Riverside, weekly, to encourage them and teach them that there is a much better way to live by being transformed by the renewing of your mind (Romans 12:2).
I surrendered my life to Jesus in 1982, at the age of 7, and received the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, while in Sunday school at Crenshaw Christian Center, founded by Frederick K.C. Price. As I walked with God through my adolescent years, it was my senior year in High School when I was compelled to attend Biola University for a formal Christian education. I graduated from Biola University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Bible.
I have been happily married to my beautiful wife Nicole since 2000, and have been blessed with five wonderful children: Cameron, Daylen, Reagen, Ethan, and Ryann.
Sr. Pastor Rodney Kyles and The Assembly Church celebrated Deacon Reggie's promotion to heaven at 1:22 am Friday, September 10, 2021. Deacon Reggie played a tremendous role at the Assembly Church and we are all excited to see him and his infectious smile again!
